How can I watch TV channels from Japan for free?

Q. I heard that new episodes of Dragonball came out. The channel they come out on is called Fuji TV. Its a channel from Japan, and I would like to know if anybody knows a website where I can download free programs to watch TV?

A. The first episode of new Dragonball (Dragonball Kai) is already uploaded to YouTube.

You can also watch live Japanese TV for free with a program called KeyHoleTV.

This site for me has been really useful and has many resources. I like it because of all of the videos, and video categories. Plus it has a search function.

It has everything with tags for "guitar" which make it easier finding guitar related material unlike other video sites like youtube.

The website will display correctly on all web browsers except Internet Explorer (Which is the only downfall, but the admin said it would be fixed very soon)
With that being said, and the ammount of information from the page, I am still happy with using Mozilla Firefox to go there for now. Internet Explorer is the last of my concerns.
I am sure that the page will be viewable using IE7 and the new IE8 by the end of this week, so make sure to bookmark the site for future use.

Sorry to sound like I am boasting this site, but I love it, and it has shown me a lot of new things and I have learned to play a lot of new songs this way. Seeing a video is much easier to learn guitar. (Even has some Piano stuff, and recording software stuff as well)

A. Youtube.com should have about anything you could want. I'm glad to hear you'll be taking "real" lessons because although you can learn alot from the internet, it's still better to have some hands on help with it.

where would i find a good way to learn to play the electric guitar?

A. Hello there,

You should ask at the guitar shops in your area to find out the prices they charge for lessons. Nearly every guitar shop will offer lessons and the prices vary from shop to shop.

What is confusing you. Perhaps I can help. I have been playing since 1957. If you explained what is confusing to you, you might get some help here. There are several guys who answer questions here that have played for 40 or 50 years. They may be able to give you some advice.

Also, take a look at this video lesson at Youtube. This guy has a series of 12 lessons that are target for absolute beginners. He covers the basics very well. In the lessons he talks about going to his website and signing up so he can mail you the lessons. You no longer need to do that. All 12 lessons are available there at Youtube. He uses an electric guitar in the lessons, but nearly everything applies to the acoustic also. Maybe this set of lessons will be easier to follow.

A. If you mean the typical black gospel from the US...it seems to be sung a lot in black baptists churches. Of course many other churches sing the same or very similar music too.

What's the difference between R&B and Soul music?

Q. I listen to mostly rock and electronic music and not much soul or R&B and I'm trying to listen to more music more often. I can never tell the difference between soul and R&B. And it would help if you would share a link to an R&B song and then a Soul song that don't sound alike...

A. R&B, stands for rhythm & blues. R&B is derived from jazz, gospel and blues. It came along in the 1940's. Soul music combines elements of gospel and rhythm and blues. It is pretty much just blending that gospel sound, you know that you hear in churches, with R&B music. It came along in the late 1950's.

Over the years R&B and soul music has changed.

In the 70's, R&B and soul music added elements of funk and disco.

In the 90's on into the early 2000's, "hip hop soul" was popular (which is combing elements of R&B, soul, and hip hop music) and "neo soul" (which combines elements of R&B, soul, jazz, pop, & hip hop).
In the late 2000's into the 2010's, R&B music developed more an electro-pop sound.

Today, people no longer sing just straight "rhythm & blues" music anymore. I think R. Kelly is the only person who channeled it, in this day and age, with his song "When a Woman Loves". Some of today's R&B singers sing either neo soul or contemporary R&B. Which are both derivatives of R&B music. (Just like how heavy metal, punk, and soft rock are all derivatives of rock music.)

Most of today's R&B singers, however, sing this electro-pop R&B, such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Usher, and Chris Brown.

How to record a Music Video on youtube so the words match up?

Q. I tried and tried to make music videos for youtube and i keep failing. I need to know how to record the video and edit it so the words match up. Do I record the video with the song on?

A. OK here you go.
First you record the song into a sound flie such as mp3 or wav.
Then you play the song while you video.
Lip sync the song along with the "playback" You can sing along as well since it won't matter cuz yer going to delete the audio which the camera records.

Then you use multi-track video editing software ( I like sony vegas the best).

If you know how to do all this and the only problem is the sync, look for words with the letters "P" or "B" and slide the audio back and forth until you can get one of those to line up.

Another reason I like Vegas is that you can ad many tracks and then cut out the pieces you don't want leaving the pieces you do. This means you really only have to sync up each track one time when you first ad it. As apposed to having to sync up each and every cut by hand.

When I started in professional film editing in 1981, we did it with actual film, in our hands and it took for freakin ever. I can do with sony vegas what it used to take an entire building full of people to do back then. Great for creativity, bad for jobs security, lol
Ad the audio track to the project you are editing.
Then ad the video files you created.
Then remove any audio which the video camera recorded.
Then you cut up your video segments and place them where they sync up with the audio.

The details depend on what software you are using.
That is how all music videos are created though.

A. Don't take it personally.

Unfortunately for you, any music that's not your creation and that is
used in your video is considered "copyright infringement". The huge
music/media corporations like UMG, Warner and Viacom don't just
"own their music", they "own the rights" to them, which means how
and where "their music" can be publicly presented.

Thus, they're apparently 100% within their rights to claim the music
in your video as their own -- especially if you have not paid them for
"licensing fees", "distribution rights", "royalties", and/or "expressed
written permission" to use and "broadcast" their music on YouTube.

If you did use their music, that is considered part of the often-heard
warning: "Unauthorized duplication, reproduction, retransmission or
redistribution -- whether in whole or in part -- without the expressed
written consent of [insert company name here] is strictly prohibited.
All rights reserved. Â© " Their concern isn't just you but other people
who could conceivably download, copy, or just listen to their music
"free and on-demand" without ever having purchased it.

If you know of other vids using the same music, either YouTube will
take them down eventually, or someone who's jealous will flag them.
If you're willing to take the chance and re-upload your video with the
same music, do not write the name of the song or artist in your title,
description or tags. Also, avoid irrelevant phrases like "no copyright
infringement intended", "I do not own the music" or "I don't take any
credit for this song". Not only do YouTube's upload servers look out
for song titles, artists' names and sentences like those, you're also
stating that you have knowingly taken, used, copied or maybe even
stolen someone else's copyrighted material.

You should also consider the fact that the music-recording industry
is starting to use hidden "watermarks" or "fingerprints" buried within
their music, in order to uncover and identify their illicit use. As such,
it is possible that no matter how many times you try to upload your
video, it may always be rejected because of "copyright infringement".
You'd thus be better off trying to find a different version of the music
you want to use. If you have seen other videos apparently using the
exact same music, those videos were probably up on YouTube just

The only possible exception to everything that I just wrote is for you
to use music that is shorter than 30 seconds in length. If you listen
carefully to any talk-show on radio or TV, they will never use or play
other people's music for longer than 30 seconds when introducing a
guest or going into/out of commercials. Can you guess the reason?
(Hint: it has to do with "licensing fees" and "royalties".)

A. Anything from comments, to posting a video somewhere online, to adding more tags to your video to get it more noticed are all forms of Promotion. Only difference is how much exposure your videos get; alot of youtube videos get noticed from other peoples pages....So building responses and friends and subscriptions will increase your view count, as well as posting it publically online such as facebook, myspace etc and getting people to repost it.

Other then that, you can use a program that will up your view count. But thats cheating.

A. yes! you should most definetly take lessons, even if only a couple of them. guitar lessons aren't really going to help you with bass. although you'd think it'd be simple to just pick up a bass and play, especially if you already play guitar. but the techniques are completely different. the playing is completely different, the way you hold your hands on the fret boad is different. it would really help a lot to take some lessons, even if you just need to learn the techniques. then i would recommend that after you've been playing for a while and have a feel for the bass, go back and take a couple lessons on slapping and popping. do not try and use youtube or something to learn how to slap and pop. its much to difficult and lessons would help so much for that.

A. YouTube doesn't have music.

The majority of the music that you hear on YouTube is mostly copyright infringements by people who illegally uploaded it. YouTube has an agreement with some artists and/or copyright holders that allow users to overwrite their original audio with an authorized track. This is called Audio Swap. Using the Audio Swap feature of YouTube is the only music that you can use with your video.

To copy other music from YT videos is just another copyright infringement upon a previous infringement and it is NOT legal.

Unless it's an acro routine you are using too many gymnastic tricks and your dancing in between them seems out of place and disjointed. The second video had way too many backwalkovers in 40 seconds. How can i play a melody with chords on piano?

Q. I can play melodies on piano, by ear, but i see a lot of people on youtube playing the melody using chords to play the melody. How can you do that? For example, how do i know which chord that sounds like a c? Because the Cmaj doesn't. Neither does Cmin or Cmaj7 or any C chord i can think of.

A. It doesn't work like that.

They aren't playing the melody with chords, they are simply playing the melody AND harmony at once. Start off by playing the melody with your right hand and triads in your left hand. Then try playing 5ths or octaves in the left hand with triads and the melody in the right hand. Play each chord once, then focus on the melody. Should a melody note land right on the chord change (like on the one), just voice the chord so that the melody note is the top note in the voicing.

As you get better, you will develop more sophisticated methods for doing these sort of things. Try to figure out what other players are doing, study it and get inside their head to learn their thought process.

(almost all videocameras come with USB cords). the sad thing is that videocameras are very expensive, maybe you should try a used eletronics store but it will still be sround $150. Then once u have the video onto ur videocamera you use the USB cord to transfer ur video onto your computer (it should do this automatically something should pop up and give you step by step instructions how to do it) then once it is on you computer just get a youtube account and click "upload" then browse trough your computer and click on the correct video.

Downloading videos on YouTube to KEEP is illegal if you don't have permission from the copyright holder even if it's personal use. You probably won't get caught downloading those YouTube videos but I wouldn't continue because if I were you, I would feel guilty downloading videos I don't own copyright to. On the positive side, you can always watch those videos directly on YouTube and not keep the videos.
